Woolfolk Elected American Hereford Association President
KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
John Woolfolk, Jackson, Tenn., was announced as the new president of the American Hereford Association (AHA) during the Annual Membership Meeting in Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 1.
John has been in the Hereford business since 1963. His family farm, Woolfolk Farms, was established in 1865 and added Herefords to the operation in 1950. Woolfolk also serves the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation as Associate Director of Commodities.
“I certainly consider it an honor to have been asked to serve in a leadership role as we approach another year in which we anticipate a continued growth in memberships, registrations, transfers and all other areas of business for the Association,” John says.

Tennessee Livestock Producers Honored with Innovator Award (PDF file)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. —Tennessee Livestock Producers (TLP), Columbia, Tenn., was honored with a Hereford Industry Innovator Award by the American Hereford Association (AHA) Jan. 14. Darrell Ailshie, TLP general manager, was presented the award during a ceremony at the National Western in Denver. TLP was chosen for this award because of the organization’s commitment to increasing the value of Hereford feeder calves through the Tennessee Hereford Marketing Program (THMP).
