TLP BARN IN FAYETTEVILLE
LOST IN FIRE

Statement from the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation on the fire loss of the TLP barn in Fayetteville.

(Jan. 2, 2008) -- Late New Year's evening the Tennessee Livestock Producers (TLP) Fayetteville barn was destroyed by fire.

The exact cause of the fire and the total amount of the loss is yet to be determined. Investigation of the fire continues.

There were no animals lost in the facilities due to the holiday close down of the market. Tennessee Livestock Producers is a service company of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation and markets livestock for farmers statewide. The Fayetteville facility is one of three markets operated by TLP.

This is a major loss to the marketing efforts in this area of the state. This facility was one of the
leading marketing outlets for TLP and markets between 2,500 and 5,000 head of cattle each month.

Tennessee Livestock Producers will immediately develop a strategy to continue to serve the marketing needs of producers in the area. We intend to continue our relationships with all our customers. We ask for patience during this time and know that TLP will continue to serve the livestock producers of the area.
Tennessee Livestock Producers is currently setting up a temporary office at the Lincoln County Farm Bureau, where the telephone company is in the process of running TLP phone number 931-433-5256 in hopes of having it working later today. TLP will continue to run the purchase order buying operation while formulating plans for the rest of the business.
TLP would like to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes. Your continued support of the company is greatly appreciated.

For further information about the future operations of the Fayetteville facility, please watch for media announcements and monitor the TLP website at www.tennesseelivestockproducers.com.
